The building owes its name to the honoured member of the Council of Trade and Manufacturing, F.K. San-Galli, who acquired it in 1880. Currently it is home to the Moscow House of the Artist, which unites within its walls premises for exhibitions and fairs, vegetarian restaurant Jagannath, a gift salon, and an art salon for designers.

The seven-storey house in neo-gothic style, known as the Actor’s House of A.A. Yablochkina, or the House with the Knights, occupies an entire block between Kaloshin and Krivoarbatsky Lanes, and is reminiscent of a castle guarding the sculptures of knights in armour.

The apartment building of M. N. Miansarova was built as a project of the famous architect Sergey Konstantinovich Rodionov from 1908-1913, and has been wonderfully preserved to our day. It is counted as an item of cultural heritage.
