Winter warm-ups: Places with hot drinks in Gorky Park

Gorky Park is one of the landmarks in Moscow. It has been working since 1928, being constantly modified and improved. Due to this, it has become one of the favourite places of Muscovites. Thus, Gorky Park receives about 200 thousand people on its territory during the weekend. Each of them finds some kind of entertainment in this park, whether it's just a walk or participation in events held there. With the onset of cold weather, everybody wants to sit in a warm café and warm up with hot drinks! We offer you a selection of such places in Gorky Park.

"Mercato" Trattoria: In this cosy Italian café one can sit and get warmed by drinking non-alcoholic mulled wine or flavoured teas with lemon, raspberry, mint or ginger, both inside the  establishment and on the veranda which is heated by fan heaters at low temperatures. Delicious hot chocolate with marshmallows is also served there.

"Coffee and the City" Coffee House: There are two kiosks of this coffee shop chain in the park. You can find the first one in the alley to the right of the main entrance; the second one – opposite "Buran" on the Pushkinskaya Embankment. Both of them offer different types of high-quality coffee served in large cups, and on top of that you can also order cakes with different fillings and toppings, as well as donuts, toasts and sandwiches.

"Pueroport" Tearoom: If you have spent enough time walking around the park, be sure to go to this tearoom. There you can order hot ginger soft drinks or try sbiten, a hot winter Russian traditional drink which has recently become popular again, as well as tea of almost 40 different types, adding the most delicious and sometimes unbelievable ingredients to them: fir cones, spruce juice, berries and syrups.

"Ostrovok" Café Terrace: On the shore of Golitsynsky Pond you can both relax and go to the "Ostrovok" café which serves European cuisine and a wide range of beverages. You can warm up very quickly by choosing anything on the "Special Hot Offer" Menu: strawberry or seabuckthorn, raspberry or ginger, cranberry, mango or other berry flavoured teas.
