Moscow Attractions

Moscow has long become a popular tourist city owing to the variety of attractions that are of national significance. In order to make every single day in this city memorable, you need to clearly plan out the program of excursions. Of course, it is better to start exploring the city near the Kremlin which has already become the main symbol of the country. The first references to this architectural ensemble were discovered in 1156, when the construction was called "Moscow" Fortress. The Red Square is situated in front of the eastern wall of the Kremlin. This place has witnessed all major historical events. The area is surrounded by three buildings: GUM, Historical Museum and St. Basil's Cathedral. Each of them deserves a little more details.

The Cathedral is one of the most important architectural monuments, a majestic complex of several temples. The Historical Museum is the largest complex of its kind that stores valuable historical artefact exhibits. Having visited the museum, you will learn many interesting facts about the history of the country since ancient times.
